This cozy, Filipino-inspired eatery is a haven for breakfast lovers, renowned for its modern take on classics like Tosilog—a delightful combo of sweet cured pork, garlic fried rice, and a perfectly cooked sunny-side-up egg. My husband and I were blown away by the brunch menu’s variety, blending savory and sweet in perfect harmony. Favorites included the Birria Chilaquiles and the Ube Tres Leches French Toast. I couldn’t resist pairing it all with a mimosa and their Boku Pandan Cold Brew—refreshing, flavorful, and an absolute must-try. Trust me, you’ll want to do the same when you stop by!
What you should know before visiting Lola’s by MFK
- Does Lola’s by MFK serve vegetarian options? Yes! I have to mention again the pancakes because they were so tasty and not overwhelmingly sweet and you can try some of their other vegetarian-friendly rice dishes.

If you’ve got a sweet tooth, Le Mirage Pastry in Anaheim is a must-visit. Le Mirage Pastries specialize in Middle Eastern sweets and also offer some French pastries, cakes and cookies. Their baklava is a standout—flaky, nutty, and perfectly sweet – I loved it and I am sure you will too! Since I have a sweet tooth I had to try their Dubai Chocolate with Strawberries, and it did not disappoint. It is a rich, indulgent treat that blends creamy chocolate with a fruity kick, served in a cup that’s perfect for enjoying on the go but keep in mind that it is very sweet so I would recommend having some water with it and the large size is definitely sharable. The Knafe and Cheese Knafe strikes an ideal balance of savory and sweet alongside the crispy shredded phyllo dough, soaked in just the right amount of syrup. And yes there is more! Don’t miss out on their famous Bouza Ice Cream—because it is unlike any other ice cream you’ll try. It is a traditional Syrian dessert that is specially churned by hand for many hours to achieve it’s chewy texture! I loved that it was pistachio flavored. I enjoyed their sweets so much I came back a second time with my own family for more and when I went, the line was out the door, but trust me, it’s worth the wait!

What truly sets Le Mirage apart is the family behind it. The bakery is run by a father and son duo who pour their hearts into their business. They’re incredibly warm and welcoming and their passion shines through in every dessert. Located just 15 minutes from the Disneyland Resort, it’s an easy stop for a sweet escape. Whether you’re new to Middle Eastern sweets or a longtime fan, Le Mirage Pastry is a spot you’ll want to visit again and again.
What you should know before visiting Le Mirage Pastry:
- Can I order in bulk from Le Mirage Pastry? Call ahead to place large orders.
- Can I buy beverages? They do offer some beverages like coffee!
Hotels to book near Le Mirage Pastries: Consider staying at Cambria Hotel Anaheim Resort Area or Best Western Plus Stovall’s Inn for easy access to this delicious bakery.

For authentic Middle Eastern cuisine in Anaheim, Kareem’s is a must-visit. If you want the BEST falafel in Southern California, Kareem’s is where you need to go! Their Falafel and Hummus Plate are popular dishes that many guests come in to eat. It is crispy-on-the-outside, soft-on-the-inside and it will literally melt in your mouth. The hummus is so fresh that you won’t ever want to return to store bought and the pita is so warm and pulls apart so easily. Their shawarma plates are also incredibly flavorful and satisfying.
This shop is family owned since 1996 and they serve their own family recipes which I love! They are also a short 15 minutes away from the Disneyland Resort.

Dine-in or To-Go: To-go only (food truck)
Reservations: Not applicable

If you’re looking for some sweet churros in Anaheim, Don Churro’s Gomez is the place to go. Their Dulce de Leche-filled churro is a fan favorite, packed with rich caramel flavor. I needed no convincing on these sweet treats because I am a Latina who loves all the sugar.

These churros are absolutely heavenly because they are made fresh when you order. If you see this food truck, run, don’t walk! You can add your own flavor of ice cream on top which of course I did! The owner of Don Churros is Jaime Nuñes Gomez and he is incredibly nice and cares about delivering the best customer service to his clients. It’s no wonder he has been endorsed by name brands like Food Network and Good Day LA!
What you should know:
- What dipping sauces does Don Churro’s Gomez offer? Chocolate and caramel.

Coffee Tour at Owlverick’s – Specialty Roasted Coffee

Looking for premium coffee in Anaheim? Sir Owlverick’s is a local coffee roaster in Anaheim. They pride themselves on being known for their high-quality coffee and ethically sourced beans. I had the chance to tour their roasting facility and learn all about the process behind their signature blends and it was the first time they’ve let anyone do this–what an honor! Amy is the owner and Willard is her husband and partner at Sir Owlvericks. They are both deeply committed and passionate about perfecting every batch, from carefully selecting the beans to roasting them to perfection because of the family history they have with making coffee.
Sir Owlverick’s coffee has been sold in over 400 stores and 8 states, including Whole Foods, Sprouts, Pavilions, Vons, and Albertsons in Southern California and is available to purchase both as whole beans and ground. They also partner with other nonprofits like California Love drop that help others who are in need of assistance due to their battle with a cancer that often gets overlooked. After witnessing their roasting process up close, I truly gained a deeper understanding and appreciation for the care and precision that goes into every cup of coffee. It’s clear that quality is their top priority.
What you should know about Sir Owlverick’s:
- Can I buy their coffee beans? Yes! You can find their coffee at local retailers or purchase it directly from Owlverick’s Roastery online. They also offer a subscription!
- Do they offer different coffee blends? Yes! They offer a variety of blends and single-origin coffees.
Dinner with a View at The Fifth Rooftop Restaurant & Bar

Address: 1650 S Harbor Blvd, Anaheim, CA 92802
Dine-in or To-Go: Dine-in and takeout available
Reservations: Strongly recommended
Indoor/Outdoor Seating: Indoor and outdoor rooftop seating available
For a stunning rooftop dining experience in Anaheim, The Fifth Rooftop Restaurant & Bar is the perfect spot. Overlooking Disneyland California Adventure, this chic rooftop lounge offers an unbeatable view of Grizzly Peak, and fireworks (if you time it right) all while you are being served up some delicious appetizers, food and handcrafted cocktails. To get access to the rooftop you walk through their main lobby and enter the elevator that will take you to the top. Fair warning the elevator is rather small and it can feel a little crowded going up and down.

Their Truffle Mac & Cheese is a fan-favorite, because of its rich and creamy texture that offers the perfect hint of truffle flavor.

The view, the ambiance, and the food all come together to create a magical experience and since it’s on a rooftop they do have outdoor heaters if you need them. I would recommend bringing a sweater if you get easily cold like I do. For convenience you can also book a stay at The Fifth Grand Legacy if you care about proximity.
FAQ:
- Is there a dress code at The Fifth? It isn’t strictly enforced, but they have a “smart casual” dress code, meaning you’re welcome to wear neat, stylish attire like collared shirts, dresses, or well-fitted jeans, but they discourage overly casual items such as flip-flops, athletic wear, or beach attire.
- Menu offerings may change so please make sure to visit their site for updates.
Hotel booking for closest access to The Fifth Rooftop Restaurant and Bar : The Fifth is a restaurant and bar located on top of the Grand Legacy at the Park Hotel.
SteelCraft Garden Grove – An Outdoor Foodie Paradise

Address: 12900 S Euclid St, Garden Grove, CA 92840
Dine-in or To-Go: Both available
Reservations: Not required
Outdoor Seating: Communal outdoor seating space is available. SteelCraft Garden Grove can be described as a food hall experience in Orange County, with an open-air market featuring multiple vendors with offerings from coffee to tacos. Some highlights include:
Dark Horse Coffee Roasters

Dark Horse Coffee Roasters at SteelCraft Garden Grove is a another coffee stop you should make on your way to Anaheim! They have small-batch offerings like the honey-cinnamon Champ latte, smooth nitro cold brew, and classic espresso. I sampled a few of their coffees, and most were good, delivering rich, balanced flavors. However, one coffee, possibly their salted caramel latte (a common specialty drink at similar roasters), surprised me with an overly salty taste that threw off the experience for me but just because I wasn’t a fan doesn’t mean you won’t be. Take this with a grain of salt haha. The staff at Dark Horse Coffee Roasters were extremely friendly and offered wonderful customer service. I will definitely be back to try other coffee flavors.
Barrio – Bold Filipino BBQ Flavors

Barrio at SteelCraft Garden Grove is a delightful Filipino-Korean BBQ spot that brings a unique fusion of flavors to this vibrant outdoor food hall. I sampled their marinated pork skewers and sweet beef bulgogi, both grilled to juicy perfection and served with a garlicky rice-quinoa blend, fresh kimchi, and a fried egg—each bite was a savory explosion. The portions are generous, and the calamansi slushie added a refreshing, tangy kick to the meal, this was drink was incredibly delicious and should be added to your order. For appetizers, their crispy lumpia and coconut ahi tuna ceviche were standout treats, offering a perfect balance of textures and flavors. The casual, communal vibe of SteelCraft makes it an ideal spot to enjoy this hearty fare. Overall, Barrio is a flavorful gem for anyone craving something beyond typical American eats.
La Taqueria Brand – Street Tacos Done Right

I tried their LT plato that includes your choices of protein meat, rice and beans, Pico de Gallo and crema. I had the traditional carne asada and chicken with I liked and paired it with a Mandarin Jarritos soda. If you’re craving something sweet they also offer a side of churros that you can add to your order. The open-air setting of SteelCraft, with its picnic tables and family-friendly vibe, makes it a great place to enjoy these dishes, but be prepared for potentially longer wait times during peak hours.
Oniguru – Japanese Rice Ball Delights

For something unique, Oniguru specializes in Japanese onigiri, or rice balls filled with a variety of savory ingredients. Oniguru is such a fun and unique spot! Their Spam Musubi is perfectly balanced, and their onigiri selection makes for a great grab-and-go snack. If you love Japanese flavors, you’ll enjoy it here.

I tried their onigiri, opting for the classic salmon and the inventive teriyaki chicken with avocado—both were meticulously handcrafted, with the salmon offering a fresh, savory bite, while the teriyaki chicken had a nice balance of sweet and creamy flavors. The rice balls were made with high-quality, locally sourced ingredients. Their menu extends to rice bowls, like the Korean BBQ beef with sesame seeds, and refreshing lemonades that pair well with the meal. The communal setting of SteelCraft, with its picnic tables and family-friendly vibe, adds to the experience, making OniGuru a great spot for a quick, flavorful bite of reimagined Japanese cuisine.
Steelcraft is a great outdoors hangout spot with food options that you are sure to enjoy. I noticed they had a big screen TV and I can only imagine it can get packed with fans who want to watch their favorite sports team win while eating some of their favorite foods.
