Disclosure: This stay at Hyatt House at Anaheim Resort/Convention Center was partially hosted, and received a discounted rate during this visit while attending the 2026 D23 Ultimate Fan Event. Everything shared here reflects my and husband’s own experiences and opinions.
There are a lot of hotels around Disneyland, but where you stay can shape much more of the trip than just where you sleep.
This is why it mattered to us to stay at Hyatt House at Anaheim Resort/Convention Center while we were attending the 2026 D23 Ultimate Fan Event.
We had long convention days, Disney cosplay outfits to arrange, and had multiple things to carry back and forth. Having a hotel that was close to where we needed to be while also giving us room to settle in made a difference, it was our home base for all things Anaheim.
Hyatt House is a Disney Good Neighbor Hotel on Harbor Boulevard near Disneyland with 264 rooms, including 230 suites. You’ll find complimentary breakfast, kitchen suites, a pool, H Bar, a 24-hour market and that is within walking distance of both the Disneyland Resort area and the Anaheim Convention Center to name a few perks.
If you’re comparing hotels on Harbor Boulevard near Disney, planning a Disneyland vacation, heading to D23 or another Anaheim Convention Center event, here’s what our stay was actually like, and who I think this hotel makes the most sense for.

Where Is Hyatt House at Anaheim Resort/Convention Center?
Hyatt House is located at 1800 S. Harbor Boulevard, Anaheim, CA 92802, in the Anaheim Resort area.
Check-in begins at 4:00 PM, and checkout is at 12:00 PM.

The property is a Disney Good Neighbor Hotel, and one of its biggest advantages is its location between two places that bring a lot of us to Anaheim: the Disneyland Resort area and Anaheim Convention Center.
During our stay, our walk could take roughly 8–13 minutes depending on our pace and where we were headed. That’s close enough that walking was a realistic part of our plans rather than something we automatically needed transportation for.
Why We Chose Hyatt House for D23 2026
Our reason for staying here this time wasn’t a traditional Disneyland vacation.
We were in Anaheim for the 2026 D23 Ultimate Fan Event, and that completely changed what mattered to me in a hotel.
We were getting ready for the convention, filming content, carrying things with us, taking plenty of photos and video and trying to experience as much of the event as possible. By the time we were done each day, I didn’t want getting back to our room to become another event in itself.
Being close to the Anaheim Convention Center meant we weren’t planning our entire day around parking or rideshares. We could get ready, head over and know that our hotel wasn’t far away when we were ready to come back.

Convention weekends for us aren’t exactly a “throw something on and leave” situation. Between outfits, accessories, hair, makeup, cameras and everything else we needed for D23, having enough room to spread out and get ourselves organized was genuinely useful.
This is also where all that storage throughout the room became useful rather than just something I noticed during the room tour. We could actually unpack. And when you’re staying several nights, I would much rather have things put away than spend the entire trip stepping around open suitcases.
The hotel wasn’t separate from our D23 trip. It became part of how the weekend worked.
We got ready here. We ate here. We came back here after long convention days. We filmed here. We had somewhere comfortable to reset before whatever came next.
That’s why I think this property is worth looking at beyond Disneyland vacations. If you’re coming to Anaheim for D23, WonderCon, BlizzCon, a convention, conference or another major Anaheim event, proximity to the convention center can change the rhythm of the entire trip.
Our Room at Hyatt House Anaheim
Hyatt House has 264 rooms, including 230 suites, which is one of the features that makes the property particularly interesting for families and longer Anaheim stays.
Through my Get Away Today travel partners, one of the available room categories is:
Studio Kitchen Suite | Two Queen Beds + Sofa Bed
The combination of additional sleeping space and a kitchen can be especially helpful if you’re traveling with family or staying for more than a couple of nights.
There are also other suite configurations available, so I recommend looking closely at the specific room category rather than assuming every Hyatt House room has the same layout or amenities.

What’s Inside the Kitchen?
Depending on the room category booked, kitchen suites can include amenities such as:
- Refrigerator/freezer
- Microwave
- Stovetop
- Dishwasher
- Pots and pans
- Plates and bowls
- Cups and mugs
- Cutlery and cooking utensils
You don’t have to plan on cooking full meals every night for a kitchen to be useful.
Being able to refrigerate drinks, store leftovers, prepare something simple or keep snacks in the room gives you options, especially when everyone comes back hungry after a long park or convention day.
The Little Room Details I Appreciated
One thing I noticed during our stay was just how much storage was worked into the room.
We had drawers and storage compartments, closet space, shoe storage, an iron and ironing board, safe, blackout curtains and plenty of places to charge our devices. Our room also had a television that could swivel depending on where we were sitting. None of those things alone would make me book a hotel.
Together, though, they made the room much easier to actually live in for several days, especially with everything we brought for D23.
Complimentary Breakfast at Hyatt House Anaheim
Breakfast is included for guests staying at Hyatt House, which is something I think is worth factoring into the overall cost of your vacation.

Current breakfast hours are:
Monday–Friday: 6:30 AM–9:00 AM
Saturday–Sunday: 7:00 AM–10:00 AM
Selections can vary, but you may find options such as eggs, sausage, potatoes, pancakes or waffles, cereal, yogurt, toast, fresh fruit, juice and coffee.
For Disneyland mornings or convention days, this is one less stop you need to make before getting started.
And for families, complimentary breakfast can become a meaningful part of the hotel’s overall value when you multiply it by several people over several mornings.
We Also Tried H Bar – Here’s What It Was Like
One part of our stay I especially wanted to include is H Bar, the hotel’s on-site dining option.
We had the opportunity to eat here during our stay, which gave us a chance to experience the hotel beyond the room itself. And after a full day in Anaheim, there’s something to be said for not having to turn dinner into another plan.
H Bar serves casual options such as sandwiches, pizza, quesadillas and wings, along with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

What I liked about having H Bar downstairs wasn’t simply that the hotel has a restaurant. It was the flexibility. When we’ve already spent most of the day out, sometimes I want to dress up and go somewhere for dinner. Other times, I want good food without needing another reservation, another drive or another plan.
Having both possibilities around the hotel is something I appreciate.

This is also one area where your stay length matters. If I were staying several nights, I probably wouldn’t eat every meal at the hotel, and I wouldn’t expect most travelers to. But having H Bar available for the night when everyone is tired after Disneyland or a convention is exactly the kind of option that’s nice to have.
H Market: The 24-Hour Option
The hotel’s H Market is available 24 hours a day with grab-and-go snacks, beverages and travel necessities.

If you suddenly realize you forgot something like medicine, toiletries or another small essential, having basics available downstairs can save you a late-night trip somewhere else.
And because many of the suites have kitchens, H Market also gives you another convenient option for grabbing something to keep in the room.
What Else Is Within Walking Distance?
You’re definitely not limited to hotel dining.
The surrounding Harbor Boulevard area includes options such as:
- Starbucks
- IHOP
- Blaze Pizza
- Walgreens
- CVS

Anaheim GardenWalk is also nearby, with additional restaurants, shopping and entertainment including bowling and an AMC movie theater. I like having that mix because not every night of a vacation needs to be planned six weeks in advance. Sometimes we want a reservation and an experience. Sometimes we want pizza. Both are valid vacation decisions.
Pool, Patio and Hotel Amenities
The property also includes amenities that may matter depending on how you like to travel:
- Outdoor pool
- Hot tub
- 24-hour fitness center
- Business center
- Guest laundry
- Ice machines
- Complimentary Wi-Fi
- Housekeeping services
- Outdoor recreation

The pool area also has games including cornhole and Connect Four, which gives families something else to do during hotel downtime.

Parking at Hyatt House Anaheim
The hotel has an underground parking garage with approximately 8’2″ clearance and in-and-out privileges.

We found the garage spacious during our visit. Parking costs can change, so I wouldn’t plan your vacation around a parking rate you saw in an older article, including this one.
Instead, check the current rate attached to your reservation. Eligible bookings through me and my Get Away Today travel partners may also include partner-specific hotel or parking benefits depending on the current offer.
Is Hyatt House Anaheim a Good Value for Families?
I prefer the word value here rather than simply calling a hotel “cheap” or “affordable.”
Anaheim hotel rates can change considerably depending on your dates, events, room category and season.

Instead, I look at what we’re actually getting for the rate.
At Hyatt House, that can include:
- Complimentary breakfast
- Kitchen facilities in many suites
- Larger room configurations
- Guest laundry
- Walking proximity to Disneyland
- Proximity to Anaheim Convention Center
- Nearby dining and shopping
- The ability to store and prepare food
For a family staying several nights, those things can affect the rest of the vacation budget.
Maybe you don’t purchase breakfast every morning. Maybe leftovers from dinner don’t go to waste. Maybe you do laundry halfway through the trip and pack less. Maybe having additional sleeping space means you don’t need a second room. Those are the calculations I would make before deciding which Anaheim hotel actually represents the better value for your family.
Who I Think Hyatt House Anaheim Is Best For
After our stay, there are a few types of travelers I think should have this hotel on their list.
Families Visiting Disneyland – The combination of suites, kitchen facilities, complimentary breakfast and additional space makes sense for families, particularly on multi-night vacations.
D23 and Anaheim Convention Center Guests – This is one of the strongest reasons I’d personally consider the property again.
Our stay during the 2026 D23 Ultimate Fan Event showed us how valuable it can be to stay somewhere that allows the hotel to fit easily into the convention day rather than adding another transportation hurdle.
Travelers Doing More Than Disneyland – Easy access to I-5 gives you flexibility if Disneyland is one stop on a larger Southern California itinerary.
Longer Anaheim Stays – The longer I’m staying somewhere, the more I care about things like a kitchen, laundry, storage and somewhere outside the room to relax.
Those are all areas where Hyatt House starts making more sense.
A Few Things I’d Consider Before Booking
No hotel is right for every trip, and I think a useful hotel review should tell you that too.
It’s not a Disneyland Resort Hotel.
You aren’t getting Disney-owned hotel theming or the experience of staying on Disney property.
You’re still walking.
It’s walkable for us, but it isn’t directly across from the Disneyland gates. Consider the walking abilities of everyone in your group.
Parking isn’t automatically complimentary.
Check the current parking terms for your reservation.
Not every room is identical.
If you specifically want a kitchen, separate bedroom or particular bed configuration, book the corresponding room category rather than assuming it will be included.
Pets aren’t permitted.
The property permits service animals but otherwise does not allow pets. These aren’t necessarily negatives. They’re simply things I would want someone to tell me before I booked.
Would We Stay at Hyatt House Anaheim Again?
Yes, particularly for the right kind of Anaheim trip.
I would consider it again for D23 or another Anaheim Convention Center event, a longer Disneyland vacation, or a trip where we wanted to use Anaheim as a home base while doing more around Southern California.
We had room for everything we brought to D23. We could walk where we needed to go. Breakfast was downstairs. We could grab something from H Market. We had H Bar when we wanted dinner without making another plan. And at the end of a long day, we had somewhere comfortable to come back to.

Booking earlier can be helpful when your dates coincide with major Disneyland or Anaheim Convention Center events, particularly if you need a specific suite configuration.
That doesn’t mean you need to rush into booking. It simply gives you more opportunity to compare room types and decide what makes the most sense before availability becomes more limited.
You can also call and book under Angie’s Magical Style if you’d prefer assistance exploring your vacation options.

Final Thoughts on Our Hyatt House Anaheim Stay
When I review a hotel, I don’t only want to know what amenities are listed on its website. I want to know what staying there actually adds to the trip.
For us, Hyatt House became part of a very memorable D23 weekend, from getting ready in our room and walking over to the convention to coming back after long days, having dinner at H Bar and having enough space to actually settle in.
For another traveler, that same room might be where the kids eat breakfast before their first Disneyland day, where a family makes a quick dinner after the parks or where everyone finally gets to put their feet up after walking down Main Street all day. That’s why I think this hotel is worth considering. It isn’t about one type of Anaheim vacation.
It’s about having a comfortable, practical home base close to many of the experiences that bring us here in the first place.
And whether you’re coming for Disneyland, D23, another convention or simply making Anaheim part of a larger Southern California trip, that’s something I think is worth looking for.
