The Disney Paradise Pier Hotel transformed into what is now themed as the Pixar Place Hotel! This redesign has infused the entire property with the enchantment of everything we know and love about Pixar. This is the only Pixar-themed hotel in America!

When you walk into the Pixar Place Hotel through the front entrance immediately you see a statue of Luxo and the famous Pixar ball.

Scenes from many Pixar films can be seen throughout the hotel like Ratatouille, Soul, Incredibles, Finding Nemo, Cars, Coco, Luca and more.

This 15-story hotel has views of Disney California Adventure Park and offers modern and cozy guest rooms inspired by the creative genius of Pixar Animation Studios. Here you can enjoy fresh dining experiences from Great Maple, unwind at the serene rooftop pool and play area, work out in the updated fitness center, and much more. The hotel features 479 guest rooms, including two new two-bedroom signature suites. These suites include the vibrant Coco Suite, adorned with colorful Oaxacan art celebrating Miguel and the Rivera family’s legacy, and the midcentury modern Incredibles Suite, showcasing Parr family memorabilia with a spy-fi twist.

Pixar Place Hotel Rooms

Premium View rooms offer vistas of Disney California Adventure Park. Some rooms provide distant views of the World of Color, while others overlook the pool and recreational areas. Tune into channel 61 on your TV to enjoy the show’s music. Although it doesn’t replace the live experience, it’s perfect for families with early bedtimes or those without theme park tickets.

Standard View rooms may overlook parking areas, and higher floors generally offer better views and less noise from the road. Rooms are designed to accommodate up to five people, with a twin daybed converting from the couch. Make sure to book a room with two queens and a daybed for larger groups. Convenient storage is available under the beds. Amenities include a mini-fridge, high-speed Wi-Fi, a Keurig coffee maker, a safe, an iron, a blow dryer, and more.

Guests staying in a standard room at Pixar Place Hotel can see a collage on the wall with some of Pixar’s famous films of Up, Ratatouille, Toy Story 2, Finding Nemo, Soul and Coco. Prints can be purchased with the exact collage at STOR-E gift shop.

Pixar Place Hotel Elevators

Navigating the hotel’s unique elevator system is a breeze. Select your desired floor on a touchpad, and you’ll be directed to the appropriate elevator. Each of the four elevators serves different areas of the hotel. Be attentive when selecting your floor to ensure you reach your desired destination. Elevator D, a new glass elevator adorned with the “Up” balloon, provides a whimsical ride.

Upon exiting the elevator, you’ll encounter themed murals representing your floor’s theme, reflected in the hallway’s colors, designs, and carpeting.

Checking in at the Pixar Place Hotel

Use your phone as a digital key or collect traditional key cards from the front desk, which also serves as your room key, resort charge card, and parking permit.

Where is the Pixar Place Hotel?

You can find Pixar Place Hotel on Disneyland Drive, across from Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and adjacent to the Downtown Disney District in Anaheim. If you plan on walking to the parks, it is about a 10-minute walk to Disneyland.

To Disney California Adventure Park it’s about a 5 minute walk because guests staying on Disney property have a private entry point to walk in from and it will leave you near the Corn Dog Castle and a souvenir shop. You could also take a shortcut through Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel to reach Downtown Disney.

While this entrance designed for Pixar Place Hotel guests, any guest staying at an on-site hotel can access this entrance with their key. This has quickly become our preferred entrance to the theme park, has minimal security wait times and places you right in the heart of the action!

If you’re headed to Disneyland you can go through the Monorail from Downtown Disney and then it will drop you off in the area of Tomorrowland.

Pixar Themes Art and Decorations at Pixar Place Hotel

When you step into the lobby you will see above you a mobile that symbolizes the transition from simplistic character sketches to the murals.

Within the Pixar Place Hotel, you’ll find a journey from initial sketches to final designs on display. The décor captures iconic scenes from Pixar tales and unveils previously unreleased artwork.

Characters at Pixar Place Hotel

Make sure you spend some time with Bing Bong from “Inside Out”, this is the only place you’ll be able to find him; unless Disney decides to bring him to the parks for Pixar Fest coming up soon (I guess we will have to see). Joe Gardner from “Soul!” can be found in the lobby hotel playing the piano (usually in afternoons and evenings) while surrounded by art from the movie.

What Can You Eat at Pixar Place Hotel?

Note that room service is unavailable at this hotel, but you can order food from select Downtown Disney restaurants via a QR code in the Activities guide.

If you’re visiting the hotel, I recommend you go check out the three dining spots managed by Great Maple. On the ground floor of the hotel the Great Maple Restaurant offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily and is open to hotel guests, locals, and theme park visitors alike. Signature delights include their buttermilk fried chicken and maple bacon doughnuts, Cajun shrimp and cheddar biscuit benedict, and soda pop-braised baby back ribs.

If you’re looking for a quick bite, stop by the Sketch Pad Café in the lobby for grab-and-go options like assorted pastries, coffee, and tea. You can also visit the rooftop pool bar called Small Bytes that offers a selection of beverages, salads, wraps, cheese plates, and more, all accompanied by breathtaking views of Disneyland Resort.

According to Disney, Great Maple will extend its culinary offerings to the Creators Club concierge lounge, located on the second floor. This lounge celebrates the collaboration between Walt Disney Imagineering and Pixar Animation Studios, and features attraction posters, concept art, and Pixar-themed music from Disney parks worldwide.

If none of these options seems to fit your vibe, then consider making dining reservations up to 60 days in advance at 6 a.m., with some locations offering later booking times. The hotel offers competitive pricing compared to other Disneyland Resort hotels, ideal for families wanting proximity to the theme park.

Parking at Pixar Place Hotel

For guests needing a car, Alamo and Enterprise car rental offices are conveniently located on-site. Parking fees apply, with valet and self-parking options. Guests pay $70 per night for valet parking and $40 for self-parking, with taxes added.
